HICOM Automotive Manufacturers (Malaysia) Sdu Bhd 198301011475 (106864-D) or HA was incorporated in 1983, and is a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad. The automotive assembly plant occupies 145 acres in land size, and has been gazetted as a National Automotive Hub in Malaysia. Over 40 years in operation, HA has produced almost half a million vehicles of various international marques, with vision to become the preferred assembler in the automotive industry. In achieving that vision, HA has been abiding to strict global standards in operation and quality. HA has so far assembled more than 25 models, including renowned marques such as Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Proton, TATA, Westar, Ssang Yong and Commercial Vehicles (FUSO and Actros).
